Source abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and e-recruitment on interest in applying for a job at PT Dhifiary Lumbung Nusantara in Tasikmalaya Regency. The background of this research is based on the low interest in applying for jobs even though the number of job seekers continues to increase. This condition is allegedly influenced by the compensation offered by the company and the effectiveness of the e-recruitment system used in the recruitment process. Compensation is one of the important factors that prospective applicants consider in choosing a job, while e-recruitment provides ease of access to vacancy information and the online application submission process. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of associative research. Data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to 100 respondents who were interested in applying for jobs and knew about the e-recruitment system. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression with the help of the SPSS program. The results of the study show that compensation has a positive and significant effect on interest in applying for a job. E-recruitment also has a positive and significant effect on interest in applying for a job. Simultaneously, compensation and e-recruitment had a significant effect on interest in applying for a job with a determination coefficient value of 66.7%, which shows that the two variables were able to explain most of the variation in respondents' interest in applying for jobs. The findings of this study indicate that companies need to offer competitive compensation and optimize e-recruitment systems in order to increase the attractiveness of companies and encourage the interest of potential applicants to apply for jobs.
