The rapid advancement of the Internet of Things (IoT) has led to the development of innovative applications in various domains, with biometric authentication being a significant area of focus. Among these, IoT fingerprint devices offer a promising solution for secure access control, identity verification, and time-tracking systems. The software development process for these devices is a multidisciplinary endeavor that integrates embedded system programming, biometric signal processing, and IoT communication protocols. This paper explores the key stages involved in the software development lifecycle of IoT fingerprint devices, from requirements gathering and system design to implementation and testing. Emphasis is placed on the challenges associated with ensuring device security, data privacy, and real-time performance while integrating fingerprint recognition algorithms, communication protocols, and cloud connectivity.
