In this article, we analyze the dynamical behaviour of a proportional Caputo-type complex fractional derivative. We prove, by using the Bayart–Grivaux eigenvector-field theorem, that this operator is Devaney chaotic in a suitable weighted Mittag–Leffler–Caputo space.
