Source abstract

Currently, a unified deepwater system (UDS) exists and operates within the Russian Federation, encompassing a large number of navigable rivers and canals. Some of these are crossed by main pipelines, which, as practice shows, often contain some embedded foundations, which subsequently leads to deviations in the pipeline's planned elevation. Due to the over-regulation of a number of shipping canals, which is accompanied by a lack of natural water flow, one of the factors influencing channel bottom erosion is the passage of vessels. Hydrodynamic processes primarily affect vessel speed. The impact of shipping on changes in the degree of bottom erosion in the canal can be assessed using mathematical modeling. This article presents the results of mathematical modeling of Project 507G-020-012 movement at different speeds along the canal, with varying levels of water content.
