In this study, a conceptual simulation is created to observe the impact of curcumin infused NRT on CAD. Unfortunately, NRT is not entirely safe as the patient is still consuming nicotine in small doses throughout treatment. These small doses can still cause atherosclerosis, which is one of the leading causes of CAD. The simulation tracks 4 groups of people on a risk index: regular smokers, non-smokers, smoker on curcumin infused NRT, and a smoker on regular NRT. The results of this paper found that curcumin infused NRT can cause a slight difference in CAD risk. However, this cannot be established clearly as this is a conceptual simulation.
