Methods The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and an explanatory scope. The sample consisted of 364 students from academic programs at a private university in the city of Huánuco, located in the central highlands of Peru; 35.4% were female and 64.6% were male, with an age range of 18 to 21. Cognitive, procedural-algorithmic, and attitudinal tests—all validated for use in Peru—were administered to analytically assess the dimensions of mathematical competencies. Results The results indicate a positive influence of the VirtualContext Learning Network on the “knowing” (cognitive), “doing” (procedural), and “being” (attitudinal) dimensions of contextual mathematical and research competencies. Conclusions The study concludes that the VirtualContext Learning Network significantly influences mathematical and research competencies, facilitating meaningful learning.
