This study analyzes the contributions of programming logic to the development of mathematical competencies in educational contexts through a literature review on Computational Thinking, programming, and Mathematics Education. The research is characterized as a bibliographic study with a qualitative approach and an exploratory nature, based on the analysis of scientific articles, books, dissertations, theses, and institutional documents published primarily between 2015 and 2026. The findings indicate that the integration of programming logic and mathematics education promotes the development of competencies such as logical reasoning, abstraction, pattern recognition, algorithmic thinking, and problem-solving skills. The reviewed studies highlight the use of tools such as Scratch, VisuAlg, the Logo programming language, and Computer Science Unplugged activities, demonstrating positive impacts on the understanding of mathematical concepts, student engagement, and meaningful learning. The review also identifies challenges related to teacher training and technological infrastructure limitations, which may hinder the implementation of these practices in different educational settings. It is concluded that programming logic represents a promising pedagogical strategy for mathematics learning by bridging concepts from Computer Science and Mathematics while fostering skills aligned with the demands of contemporary education.
