Source abstract

The purpose of this paper is to introduce and study the notion of a vector-valued π-invariant\pi\text{-invariant} mean associated to a unitary representation π\pi of a locally compact group GG on S,\mathcal{S}, a self-adjoint linear subspace containing II of B(Hπ).\mathcal{B}(H_\pi). We obtain, among other results, an extension theorem for π-invariant\pi\text{-invariant} completely positive maps and π-invariant\pi\text{-invariant} means which characterizes amenability of G.G. We also study vector-valued means on S\mathcal{S} of π-(weakly)\pi\text{-(weakly)} almost periodic operators on Hπ.H_\pi.
