This paper examines the process of non-isothermal stratification of a water-in-oil emulsion in a rectangular cavity. The model takes into account the dependence of the viscosity of the carrier phase on temperature, as well as the effect of the tightness of droplets settling. The solution of the one-dimensional problem is performed within the framework of a single-temperature approximation based on the following assumptions: the emulsion is considered monodisperse, there are no convective flows in the system. Numerical implementation is carried out in the OpenFOAM environment using a modified solver. The main focus is on the analysis of the influence of non-isothermal boundary conditions on the dynamics of the dispersed phase settling.
