Source abstract

It is known that the impedance match of a phased‐array antenna can be improved over a range of scan angles be connecting lossless Circuits between the transmission lines leading to the radiating elements. Now it is demonstrated that, by more complex interconnections in an infinite series perfect impedance match can theoretically be obtained for all scan angles. This is proven first for an infinite linear array, and then for an mfirute planar array having a square or triangular arrangement of the elements.
