This article discusses a method for implementing structured auditing in PostgreSQL 18. The primary focus is on integrating the pgAudit extension and the file_fdw module to enable the analysis of security logs using standard SQL commands. The author describes a solution architecture that transforms unstructured system logs into a relational format, thereby increasing monitoring efficiency and accelerating the response to information security incidents.
