Source abstract

Let GG be a simple graph. A vertex labeling ψ:V(G)→{1,2,…,α}\psi:V(G) \rightarrow \{1, 2,\ldots,\alpha\} is called α\alpha-labeling. For an edge uv∈Guv \in G, the weight of uvuv, written zψ(uv)z_{\psi}(uv), is the sum of the labels of uu and vv, i.e., zψ(uv)=ψ(u)+ψ(v)z_{\psi}(uv)=\psi(u)+\psi(v). A vertex α\alpha-labeling is said to be an edge irregular α\alpha-labeling of GG if for every two distinct edges aa and bb, zψ(a)≠zψ(b)z_{\psi}(a) \neq z_{\psi}(b). The minimum α\alpha for which the graph GG contains an edge irregular α\alpha-labeling is known as the edge irregularity strength of GG and is denoted by $\es(G)$. In this paper, we find the exact value of edge irregularity strength of different cases of firefly graph Fs,t,n−2s−2t−1F_{s,t,n-2s-2t-1} for any s≥1,t≥1,n−2s−2t−1≥1s \geq 1, t \geq 1, n-2s-2t-1 \geq 1 .
