The problem of system mathematical modeling of pollution propagation processes in river estuaries to control river pollution was addressed. A balanced two-layer model of flow dynamics during riverbed washing based on the system of Saint – Venant equations is proposed. The modeling is performed numerically, using finite-difference schemes of differential equations or the mathematical apparatus of conformal mapping. When discussing the research results, the proposed theoretical approach and its implementation were compared with the pollution models of the Dnipro--Bug estuary, proposed by other authors. The comparison proved the possibility of more accurately describing the processes of transfer and concentration of pollutants using the Saint–Venant equations.
