The work is devoted to the analysis of parameters and assessment of the technical efficiency of the basic chassis of fire trucks. The article discusses the main technical parameters of the chassis (total weight, length, engine power, mileage, specific fuel consumption, etc.) and their impact on the operational properties of fire fighting equipment. Dimensionless complex indicators (primary and generalized) are proposed, formed on the basis of the dimensional analysis method, which allows for an objective assessment of various brands of cars, and also makes it possible to simplify the analysis of calculated values, and reasonably select a base platform for fire fighting vehicles, taking into account the assigned tasks and operating conditions.
