Source abstract
We give Hodge-theoretic characterizations of characteristic-zero varieties of open -nilpotent and open weakly -nilpotent type, extending a result of Srinivas and Takagi beyond isolated singularities. We prove one direction unconditionally and the converse assuming the weak ordinarity conjecture.
