One of the important priorities for the coming years is the electric power industry. The development of the electric power industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan is determined by a number of circumstances, among which the absence of centralized power supply in 2/3 of the territory of our country is important. They receive electricity mainly from autonomous diesel generator sets - the main generating devices of decentralized power supply. At the same time, the fuel necessary for generating electricity is imported from distant centers by road or waterways, and sometimes by helicopters, which significantly affects both its cost and the reliability of the supplies themselves. The existing concept of energy development in our country is mainly focused on the "big" energy, while not enough attention is paid to decentralized power supply facilities, where the basis of energy capacities is precisely diesel generator and gas turbine plants, as well as a combined heat and power plant, operating on local fuel. To date, there are no comprehensive studies by a diversified energy complex (DEC), which allow, from a unified scientific and methodological position, to carry out the optimal choice of a variant of the structure of power equipment, determine the fuel consumption and resource of a DEC, analyze electromagnetic and electromechanical processes in a DEC. Thus, the scientific and technical problems associated with the choice of the structure of the power part of the DEC, the development of a control system that provides the optimal energy mode of operation of the DEC, as well as the problems associated, with the study of dynamic modes work of the DEC and complexes based on them, with the analysis of energy indicators, reliability indicators, the impact on the environment and the issues of technical and economic comparison of options for such power plants remain largely unresolved.
