This chapter examines the growing role of mathematics education in developing future-oriented skills within the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, computational thinking, and digital literacy. To address the fragmentation of existing research across cognitive science, STEM education, digital pedagogy, and inclusive practices, this chapter employs a bibliometric analysis and a systematic literature review of studies published between 2020 and 2024. A total of 2,667 documents were screened from the Scopus database, of which 35 peer-reviewed articles met the PRISMA criteria for in-depth analysis, supported by VOSviewer mapping techniques. The findings highlight a significant increase in global research interest.
