Abstract The article presents a model for describing the mechanism of lactate transport across the cell membrane and capillaries. It discusses how Syrosingopine may help in keeping the lactate levels in the body under control. The model described uses a system of differential equations and the optimal control theory for studying the influence of Syrosingopine on lactate transport and makes reasonable estimates of dosage and treatment. In a more personalized medicine-oriented future, the relevance of enhanced lactate transport arises from putting biologists and mathematicians together in an effort to find new avenues through which human health can be improved while driving the future of precision medicine.
