Source abstract

On the set YFn\mathbb{YF}_n of words in 11 and 22 with digit sum nn, we consider the probability distribution μPμ_P, corresponding to the Plancherel measure on paths in the Young--Fibonacci graph. We study the asymptotics as nn grows of the entropy of the distribution μPμ_P and of the minimum number of words on which μPμ_P is almost entirely concentrated.
