Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a foundational driver of digital transformation, reshaping organizational structures, leadership practices, decision-making processes, and workforce dynamics. As AI-enabled systems are increasingly integrated into operational and strategic functions, organizations face new opportunities for efficiency and innovation alongside complex challenges related to governance, ethics, and human capital management. This chapter examines how contemporary management and leadership models must evolve to remain effective in AI-driven organizational environments. This chapter also positions AI not merely as a technological enabler but also as a structural force influencing managerial authority, organizational governance, and strategic control. It analyzes the shift from intuition-based leadership to hybrid decision-making models that augment human judgment with algorithmic decision-support systems. Particular emphasis is placed on accountability, transparency, and explainability in algorithmic decision-making processes. This chapter further explores workforce transformation resulting from AI adoption, highlighting task reconfiguration, role redesign, and the growing importance of reskilling and upskilling initiatives. While AI automates routine and analytical tasks, it simultaneously elevates the strategic value of human-centric competencies such as critical thinking, emotional intelligence, collaboration, and ethical reasoning. Ethical considerations form a central component of the analysis. Key issues—including algorithmic bias, data privacy, and regulatory compliance—are examined to underscore leadership responsibility in establishing robust AI governance frameworks. This chapter also identifies the core competencies required to cultivate AI-ready leaders, including technological literacy, ethical foresight, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adaptive strategic thinking. It offers a structured and evidence-based perspective on future-proofing organizations.
