Large deviations from a stable steady state for damped dispersive PDEs with vanishing random kicks

Source abstract
We study the behaviour of stationary measures for a class of dispersive PDEs damped by a linear zero-order term and perturbed by a small kick noise. Under some natural assumptions on the law of the noise, we prove that any family of stationary measures satisfies the large deviation principle in the vanishing noise limit. The result highlights the role of nonlinear smoothing and applies to the nonlinear Schrödinger and Korteweg-de Vries equations, and to a variety of random perturbations including Gaussian and exponential variables.
