This research was motivated by the low quality of the learning process and mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 208/II Sumber Harapan. The average score of the first mid[1]semester exam was still below the Criteria for Achieving Learning Objectives set by the school, which is 70. This study aims to describe the improvement in the mathematics learning process and outcomes using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by concrete media. The method used in this study was Classroom Action Research based on Kurt Lewin's model, which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this research were 21 fifth-grade students at SDN 208/II Sumber Harapan. Data collection in this study utilized qualitative data (observation sheets, interviews, and documentation) and quantitative data (learning outcome tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests). The students' learning process scores achieved in Cycle I were 60.48% for the first meeting and 66.67% for the second meeting. In Cycle II, it reached 79.29% for the first meeting and 86.43% for the second meeting. The learning outcomes obtained from this research showed that the students' average score in the pre-cycle (51.42%) increased to 63.81% in Cycle I and further increased to 80.24% in Cycle II. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that learning mathematics using the Contextual Teaching andLearning model assisted by concrete media can improve the learning process and outcomes in the material of comparing the characteristics of two-dimensional shapes.
