This study aims to determine students’ ability to solve differential equation problems through the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach, with the research subjects being students in the Mathematics Education Program who are taking the Differential Equations course. Data were collected through a test of students’ ability to solve differential equation problems, which was designed based on problem-solving competency indicators: understanding the problem, devising a solution plan, implementing the solution plan, and reviewing the solution. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques by calculating the mean, percentage, and categories of student proficiency. The results showed that students’ ability to solve differential equation problems after the implementation of the Project-Based Learning method fell into the “good” category, with a mean score of 80.2. Most students were able to understand the problem, design a solution plan, and implement the solution plan systematically. The indicator with the highest achievement was “understanding the problem,” while the indicator that still needs improvement was “rechecking.” The implementation of the Project-Based Learning method provided students with the opportunity to learn actively, collaboratively, and contextually, thereby enhancing their mathematical problem-solving skills in solving differential equation problems.
