Source abstract

Based on the Arrhenius equation and actual measuring data of the aftertreatment, the article gives the aftertreatment aging life as a function of aftertreatment temperature. The regeneration interval and temperature depend on the latitude, ambient temperature, and vehicle driving conditions. Taking all these factors into account, the article derives the final integrated formula of the aftertreatment aging mileage. The model and method used in this article are applicable to aftertreatment systems used on both gasoline and diesel engines. They can be used for the temperature calibration of the engine aftertreatment systems.
