Source abstract

For the mirror word mn=a1⋯anan⋯a1\mathbf{m}_n=a_1\cdots a_na_n\cdots a_1, let Vn=V(S(mn))\mathcal{V}_n=\mathrm{V}(S(\mathbf{m}_n)) and Wn=V(S(mn)0)\mathcal{W}_n=\mathrm{V}(S(\mathbf{m}_n)^0). We show that [Wn,Wn+1][\mathcal{W}_n,\mathcal{W}_{n+1}] (n≥1n\geq 1) and [Vn,Wn][\mathcal{V}_n,\mathcal{W}_n] (n≥2n\geq 2) have cardinality 2ℵ02^{\aleph_0}. Every variety in [W2,W∞][\mathcal{W}_2,\mathcal{W}_\infty] has infinite axiomatic rank. The unique limit subvariety of W1\mathcal{W}_1 is V(SR6)\mathrm{V}(SR_6). For n≥2n\geq 2, we construct a distinct directed-path limit variety contained in Wn\mathcal{W}_n but not in Vn\mathcal{V}_n.
