Source abstract

Let E/QE/\mathbf{Q} be an elliptic curve, let K=Q(D)K=\mathbf{Q}(\sqrt{D}) satisfy the Heegner hypothesis with D<−4D<-4, and fix a modular parametrization φ\varphi with φ(∞)=O\varphi(\infty)=O. Under surjectivity modulo 2L2^L, with L≥2L\ge 2, and a cohomological exclusion condition at level 44, we construct a finite set of primes TT such that, writing dT=∏q∈T(−q)d_T=\prod_{q\in T}(-q) and nT=∏q∈Tqn_T=\prod_{q\in T}q, the 22-Selmer dimensions of EdTE^{d_T} and EdTDE^{d_TD} are 00 and 11. The support size is bounded in terms of the initial Selmer dimensions, independently of LL. Inspired by the work of Tian and Tian--Yuan--Zhang on congruent numbers, we construct a point QTQ_T on the terminal twist and identify its Kummer class with the standard mod-22 Kolyvagin class. Using the low-corank 22-converse and the 22-primary Birch--Swinnerton-Dyer formula, we prove that its index mTm_T in the full Mordell--Weil lattice satisfies v2(mT)=v2(cφ)+i(E,K)v_2(m_T)=v_2(c_\varphi)+\mathfrak{i}(E,K). The optimal Manin constant theorem supplies a 22-indivisible parametrization φ0\varphi_0, for which κnT,1std(φ0)≠0κ^{\mathrm{std}}_{n_T,1}(\varphi_0)\ne 0 if and only if i(E,K)=0\mathfrak{i}(E,K)=0. When the intrinsic index vanishes, the minimum terminal support size is R=min⁡{d2(E),d2(ED)}R=\min\{d_2(E),d_2(E^D)\}, and the normalized standard classes have order 2M2^M for 1≤M≤L1\le M\le L. Full 22-adic Galois image then gives strong nonvanishing.
