The statistical convergence in metric spaces is considered. Its equivalence to the statistical fundamentality in complete metric spaces is proved. Introduced the concept of -strong convergence, and proved its equivalence to the statistical convergence. Tauberian theorems concerning statistical convergence in metric spaces are given.
