Source abstract

Abstract This essay introduces a special issue of History of Political Economy titled “Local Entanglements in the History of Mathematical Economics.” The articles in the special issue share a particular historiographical approach, characterized by the name of “local entanglements.” The introduction defines the approach and explains why it can contribute in an original way to the history of economics.
