Artificial intelligence (AI) could be of assistance in the management of infectious diseases, as well as in the prevention and early diagnosis of infectious diseases. Additionally, machines that contain AI are specifically built to work with varying degrees of autonomy during their operation. In addition, it is a system that is characterized as being able to work on machines and is capable of producing predictions, recommendations, or assessments that have an effect on either the physical or digital environments. The utilization of artificial intelligence tools for the purpose of conducting big data analysis is becoming increasingly widespread across a variety of industries, including the healthcare industry, with the goal of improving the operational efficiency of relevant data. It has been demonstrated that artificial intelligence is extremely beneficial in the field of infectious disease diagnosis. Artificial intelligence can also be utilized for the purpose of rapidly assessing data and making well-informed decisions regarding the most effective distribution of resources in the fight against infectious illnesses. In addition, the application of artificial intelligence in the field of healthcare will be discussed in this chapter. More specifically, the utilization of AI techniques is investigated for the purpose of detecting and predicting infections.
