The article discusses a comprehensive approach to assessing the technical condition of homogeneous earth-fill dams, based on the integration of field engineering survey data and mathematical experimental design methods. The author proposes a methodology for transitioning from labor-intensive single numerical calculations using the finite element method to the construction of analytical meta-models of the structure's state. The work justifies the use of central composite rotatable design to approximate the dependence of the stability coefficient on the physical and mechanical properties of soils and hydrological loads in accordance with SP 39.13330.2012. Key variation factors and response functions are identified, allowing for the ranking of soil parameters by their degree of influence on dam reliability. The research results enable the optimization of engineering survey scopes by identifying the most critical characteristics for monitoring. The developed recommendations can be applied for operational safety forecasting of hydraulic structures under changing operational conditions.
