Abstract This study presents a comparative investigation on the steady flow and heat transfer of different hybrid nanofluids produced by an exponentially stretching sheet in the presence of mixed convection. Tiwari and Das nanofluid model has been employed. The titania () and copper oxide () nanoparticles are suspended in water, EG and a mixture of water‐EG to form , , and hybrid nanofluids. The similarity equations are obtained from the governing equations using the similarity transformation, and their solutions are obtained using the bvp4c solver available in the Matlab software. It has been perceived from the present study that the largest % enhancement in skin friction is 39.2148% at in the hybrid nanofluid /water; however, the largest % enhancement in Nusselt number is 11.6260% at in the hybrid nanofluid /EG.
