Source abstract

This paper presents a numerical method for the inverse source problem of the time-harmonic elastic wave equation. The aim is to reconstruct the external force from the boundary measurements of the radiated wave field. By expressing the body force via the Fourier expansion, we propose a numerical scheme to solve the inverse problem. Utilizing the measured radiated wave field at admissible frequencies, we derive an explicit formula to calculate the Fourier coefficients. Stability analysis of the proposed method is conducted, and several numerical examples are provided to illustrate its performance.
