Source abstract

Torsional vibrations have a significant impact on engine operation, leading to deterioration in performance or even complete failure. The development of new engines and the modernization of existing ones necessitate the ability to assess and predict the occurrence of significant effects from torsional vibrations. The general principles of constructing a mathematical model of a torsional system are examined, and a mathematical model of the torsional system of the 4CHN 11.0/12.5 engine is proposed. This model allows for determining the amplitudes, phase angles of the harmonic components of angular displacements, and instantaneous angular coordinates for each mass of the system during engine operation in any mode.
