Source abstract

A coupled doubly–non linear system is here analyzed. It can be seen as a non linear model describing the vibrations of sandwich structure modeled as a double beam of Woinowsky-Krieger type. Each beam is connected to a cable, modeled as a vibrating string, by a distributed system of one-sided elastic springs. First, we scrutinize the set of stationary solutions and then, we prove the existence of a global attractor.
