This paper proposes a generalized quasi shift-splitting (GQSS) method for solving saddle point problems and establishes its convergence properties. Through theoretical analysis, it shows that the GQSS iteration method converges under certain conditions. The spectral properties including the eigenvalue and eigenvector distributions of the preconditioned matrix are discussed. Numerical results are provided to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the GQSS iteration method and preconditioner.
