Source abstract
The article considers the problem of mathematical modeling of the sand dehydration process in the conditions of using vacuum installations in prismatic warehouses. The relevance of the study is due to the need to increase the efficiency of moisture removal from bulk materials in industrial conditions while simultaneously reducing energy costs. The aim of the study is to develop a mathematical model of the process of dehydration of construction sand using a suction vacuum system equipped with horizontally arranged needle filter elements, based on the generalization of experimental data. The work establishes functional dependences of the duration of sand dehydration on the design and operating parameters of the proposed equipment, justifies rational modes of its operation, and forms a methodology for engineering calculation of the vacuum system. The practical value of the work lies in the possibility of using the developed model to optimize technological processes for the storage and preparation of bulk materials in the construction and mining industries.
