The article examines the effect of a hydrophobic mineralizer – activated carbon grade OU-A - on the fire-technical characteristics of air-mechanical foam (AMF) based on foaming agent PO-6 (6%). Experimental data on foam expansion ratio and foam stability index at various mineralizer concentrations are presented. It has been established that the hydrophobic mineralizer has a destructive effect on the foam structure: the foam expansion ratio decreases relative to the control sample, and the stability index at the maximum concentration decreases by half. The results are consistent with the physicochemical patterns of interaction of hydrophobic nanoparticles with the AMF dispersed medium.
