In this paper, the accurate prediction of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen content in a pipeline steel in the vacuum degassing refining process is studied, and the accurate prediction method of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen content in the vacuum degassing refining process is explored based on mathematical modelling. Through the collection of industrial experimental data, the influencing factors of removing harmful elements were analysed, the kinetic model of decarburisation, dehydrogenation and nitrogen control was established and the accurate prediction system of the vacuum degassing refining composition was designed and developed. The system successfully achieves accurate prediction of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen contents, and the relative errors of the decarburisation, dehydrogenation and nitrogen control modules are controlled within 0.025%, 0.25% and 0.012%, respectively, which satisfy the permissible range of production errors in steel enterprises. The aim of this study is to accurately predict the outgoing carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen contents in the vacuum degassing refining process, which can be used to guide industrial production practices. It provides steel enterprises with an effective tool for production management and quality control, which helps to improve steel quality, reduce production costs and promote intelligent production smelting in the steel industry.
