Source abstract

A system of differential equations is proposed as a model of dispersion between two populations in habitats separated by a barrier. Both strong and weak barriers are considered, and the effect of barrier strength on the limiting populations is analyzed. The case of a predator feeding indiscriminately on these populations is also considered and the effect of barrier strength on the limiting population analyzed.
