Source abstract

This presents the cryptography theme for the development of matrices content, in High School, since the approach of this theme in the Mathematics Curriculum, can promote the teaching of the contents in a contextualized way, through different methodologies and resources. Therefore, the objective of this work is to present the potential of the theme cryptography allied to the matrices content developing a didactic sequence for High School students, exploring Excel spreadsheet. The research had a qualitative methodological approach, aiming to describe and interpret the application of the experiment carried out. This study allowed us ti conclude that the didactic sequence com contribute if the understanding. Deepening and/or review of the content of matrices, to know the history and applications of the theme, as well as having the opportunity to learn the commands of Excel spreadsheet, an auxiliary resource for mathematical.
