Management System for Internally Displaced Persons in IDP Camps in Benue State, North Central, Nigeria

Due to the communal crisis between the fulanis’ and Tivs in the north central part of Nigeria the rate of internally displaced persons has grown rapidly with numerous problems arising in the management of their camps. Such problems include inability to present accurate information to any agency for aid/assistance, inability to allocate appropriate accommodation to IDPS, low speed and efficiency in the registration process, data redundancy etc. However, this research work employs Structured systems analysis and design methodology (SSADM) to solve the existing system problems because of its simplicity and accuracy. The new system keeps accurate information of idps, keeps updated health status of idps and allocates accommodation automatically and reduces data redundancy.
