The two-point Chowla conjecture (ordinary averages)
There is an absolute c>0 such that for all fixed integers a1,a2≥1, b1,b2≥0 with a1b2=a2b1, ∑n≤Xλ(a1n+b1)λ(a2n+b2)≤Ca,bX/(logX)c for every real X≥3. With a1=a2=1, b1=0, b2=h this is the ordinary two-point Chowla conjecture with a power-of-log saving. Constants are ineffective, and coefficients may not grow with X. Nothing is proved for three or more points.
